Purdue Patronage

A sorority at Purdue University is picking up 3 tubs of Italian Ice tomorrow for a welcome back function for 400 people. I am so excited to have experienced a smooth and exciting sale. I am absolutely amazed at the power of technology. As someone who grew up with a rotary phone, the internet is mind boggling.Image

Lovin' That Ice

So today was just another day in the classroom when I got a phone call from a surgeon in the northern suburbs. He and his wife are from New York and LOVE Italian Ice. It is her birthday and he scoured the internet looking to buy her this delicious frozen treat and found Little Philly’s.
He just picked up 3 pints to surprise her with tonight.
It was a great surprise for me, too!

Silent Auction for Sickle Cell

Standard

Today, my very small, money losing business, was asked to donate “something” to a silent auction for Sickle Cell Anemia. Of course, I want to help. Of course, Little Philly’s said yes. Of course, we are so proud to be a part of the community. Of course, this is the right thing to do.

One of the benefits to getting older is realizing what is really important in life. What is important is helping to make the world a better place. Today, Little Philly’s made a contribution to the future.

I can teach another day.

So the students came today. I was amused, interested and intrigued by them. I have high hopes for the school year and business year.

The other interesting thing that happened today is a call I got from another food truck vendor from a northern Indiana town. They want to possibly sell my Italian Ice through their food truck. Do I want to do that? I don’t know what to do, but I will meet with them tomorrow and see what my gut says.

Opinions anyone? Good idea, bad idea, horrible idea?
